Tri-Agency Perspectives on Supporting Indigenous Perspectives, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Research.
In this interactive information-sharing session, presenters from SSHRC, NSERC, CIHR and the Tri-Agency Programs Secretariat (TIPS) will provide an overview of agencies’ work on implementing EDI into their respective contexts, as well as support Indigenous researchers through the implementation of the tri-agency Setting new directions to support Indigenous research and research training in Canada strategic plan and agency-specific initiatives. Through a more general discussion of agency policies as well as a deeper dive into select programs designed for researchers and students, attendees will better understand how I-EDI is being integrated into agencies’ programs in design and adjudication, with practical tips for their own proposals going forward.
